Marilyn's Story
Marilyn is a 3rd Degree Reiki Master/Teacher, intuitive counsellor and artist born in Singapore. Her passion includes music and design, alternative healing, energy work, crystals, understanding life and travelling. Currently she is living in Byron Bay, New South Wales, Australia as well as Singapore.
I have always loved connecting with people and supporting them in moving into greater physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health and well-being. Being an indigo adult, empathy is a virtue that comes naturally to me, and I am very concerned about the level of happiness and quality of life of all individuals. Love, Peace and Happiness is something that everyone seeks for, and I believe that everybody truly deserves as well.
Previously since 2002, I volunteered on AllExpert.com to provide online counselling to those in search of answers and has since decided to set up halcyonflux.com to reach out to more people. During my school days, I chanced upon a book on energy healing with hands and found it fascinating, though didn’t pay much attention to it. Years after sequences of events happened that led me to the introduction of Reiki by a friend of mine where I started my journey of Reiki Healing and was lucky to be trained formerly as a Life Coach.
My intuitive abilities and insights from divine guidance has helped to empower and change the lifes of those looking for meaning in life, overcome problems in personal relationships, assist the journey of the dying, enlighten minds, healing physical, emotional, situational issues for adults, children, animals and even plants.
I can provide Distance Reiki Healing, Oracle Card Readings and other Energy Healing work via email to those who are experiencing stress, grief, physical pain, depression, illness, and anything that negatively affects the body either emotionally, spiritually or physically. I am travelling around most times hence may not be able to do hands on healing. However do keep a lookout on my blog for updates on my current location and if we happen to be at the same location do feel free to contact me and I will be happy to meet you.
Other than my healing work, I am also the web and graphic design business owner of http://www.molyvdesign.com and http://www.ovocreatives.com. Both companies promotes eco-friendliness in design practices, as I strongly believe that we should give back as much as we can in whatever we do. I am happy and grateful that the website design of Halcyonflux.com has won 2 web design awards and also featured in other websites. Music is also a big part of my life, from learning the Chinese Orchestra during my school days to the classical karnatic Indian Flute, to DJing and organizing dance events. Currently I am learning to play the harp and would like to try my hands on electronic music production. My belief is is that life is a lifetime of learning, so do go ahead and pursue whatever your heart sings for.

Approach and Beliefs
Within each of us is a loving and powerful healer, and the healing journey is a gradual discovery and expression of this Presence, which we experience as love, peace, and happiness. Each person’s natural, innate healing abilities are what allow for the unfolding of greater health and happiness from within, eventually shining as a radiance outwards. Notice how those in love seem to have a certain 'glow' around them?
With this natural gift, everyone is able to heal themselves and heal others too. My purpose here is to be your guide while you are going through this healing process, so that one day you can help to serve others and make the World a better place for all.
To be healed, you will need to have the intention for it to happen and believe in it. For example, a smoker with the determination to quit smoking will have a higher success than one without. This applies to healing, as well as changing habits, finding the relationship that you are looking for, the life and freedom that you want, etc.
During consultations, I ask questions to make you think, reflect and understand your situation from a different perspective. As a counsellor, I work with you to bring your own strength, positivity, happiness and deeper peace to the surface. This is done by breaking down negative patterns and the different layers of the "ego" that all of us have accumulated throughout our lifetimes. The counselling session is a journey of your own true spirit with me as your guide. Other methods I can share with you include the Law of Attraction, positive thinking and exercises to bring upon what you desire.
As the gift of Healing is natural to all human beings and everyone should be entitled to find true happiness in their lives, all Reiki Distance Healing, Spiritual Life Coaching and Intuitive Counselling offered by me will be by donation only. I will be happy to receive a token of any amount or even any item you wish in exchange.
Whenever we are dealing with energy, it is very important to keep it flowing equally in both directions. Think about relationships where one person does all the giving, and the other all the taking. This makes for a very unhealthy relationship. This kind of "control" trap can happen to Healing, so it is important to always have a fair exchange of energy. This can be money, barter, or the natural give-and-take within a family or friendship relationship. Giving something in exchange promotes the honouring of the healing work provided and a more permanent healing, according to Dr. Usui.
Ultimately I am just your Guide, a Channel for healing and giving you messages, and most of the change will largely depend on you. All consultations and correnspondences will be done via email, and instant messaging if required.
